Buttercup in soft focus. Photographing tiny flowers can be challenging, because in order to capture all of the details of a flower at such a small scale a very large depth-of-field is required, which in turn requires a slow shutter speed. On this day, there was a slight breeze and I didn't have my tripod with me, so I used the lens wide open with a fast shutter speed to get this softer image. The shallow DOF blurred the surrounding flowers, providing a beautiful backdrop of yellow and green for this pretty buttercup.
