It is with great pleasure that I announce that I have just become the newest member of the North American Nature Photography Association's College Scholarship Committee. As a scholarship program receipient in 2011, I'm incredible excited to be a part of this wonderful legacy and am looking forward to putting together a wonderful experience for the 2013 NANPA College Students. The NANPA College Program was an inspiration to me (you can read about it in my article " Seeking the Sun") and I hope to provide a similarly engaging experience for others. In addition to my new role on the College Committee, I also serve NANPA as an Ambassador for the New England Region.
I've added the Landscapes section to my stock gallery, so now you can check out my scenic photographs from Ontario, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming. I'm stil in the process of keywording and captioning some of the galleries and have some more images to add to them, so please ignore any housekeeping issues you may come across in the New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming galleries. I'll have those fixed and add galleries for Colorado, Texas, and Vermont soon!
Incredible news! In just two weeks I will be headed to Haiti to implement a photojournalism project with teens as part of a partnership between Frame of Mind and Panos Carribean. I am very excited to connect with the talented team of photographers, journalists, and educators who have been working on this project, and can hardly believe that my dream is actually coming true! It feels great to have such wonderful news to share!
This Thursday, December 1st, I will be at Antioch University New England to show off (and hopefully sell) my photographs for their 2011 WinterFest Craft Fair. The event runs from 10AM-4PM and features many local vendors, so be sure to stop by and check it out! The address is 40 Avon Street, Keene, NH 03431.
After more than two months of being "under construction" my new website is finally up and running (albeit in pieces). I hope you like the new look, darker color scheme, and simplified galleries and navigation. I've sort of come to the conclusion that I will never be 100% happy with whatever website I have, but I think this comes pretty close. There is still a lot of work to be done, and a ton of content to add, but I think you'll find plenty to explore in the galleries as they now stand, so please take a look around and let me know what you think!
