Well, I hope you guys aren’t tired of spring photographs of Eastern Redbuds in bloom yet, because I still have a few more to share. Despite student teaching and classes finally being over, I haven’t been out shooting nearly as much as I’d like. Instead, I’ve been working long hours trying to make up for having worked less during the semester, and with the cost of gas on the rise, I’m doing the best I can to get enough saved up for summer travel. My plans for next week however, include a spring landscape trip to West Virginia with Chris to celebrate our two year anniversary and then spending Memorial Day weekend in the endless Pennsylvania mountains with Chris and some herper (people who look for reptiles and amphibians) friends. So pretty soon, I’ll have plenty more to share.

This photo is from several weeks ago when I visited Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. The redbuds were in bloom at the lower elevations of the park then, so Chris and I spent quite a bit of time capturing the springtime colors. I like how the two big trunks here take center stage, with the purple-pink blossoms of the redbuds framing the shot.
