Here’s another shot from my visit to Shenandoah National Park last weekend. This photograph is quite different from my first post, as it was taken at a higher elevation from deeper within the park, where the new spring growth has yet to really pop. What I like about this image is that it shows the transition from winter to spring in the mountains, with fresh green buds appearing on just a few trees while the rest still stand dormant from the cold winter months. In a short while, this entire hillside will be green with new growth. Oh, how I love spring!

This has a wonderful muted texture to it Kari. It would make a nice print.
