Okay, maybe the worst excuse ever, but a bunch of my photographer friends have been posting their favorite photos from the past year on their blogs, in Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, etc. So I figured, why not?
Here are my three favorite photographs from 2009. I’ll be the first to admit I didn’t do a whole lot of shooting this past year, but when I did, I think I got some pretty sweet shots. So here they are, in chronological order.

All three are wonderful, Kari. The owl is simply superb. One of the best I’ve ever seen. I’ve sat and watched elk meander through a valley more times than I can count and your image brings back that feeling of sitting in awe of these great animals. The seascape is just good old fashioned, beautiful eye candy. I hope 2010 treats you as well!

Fantastic images, Kari. I’d be happy to have any of these hanging on my wall. I must agree with Royce about the owl–a stunning image!

I have to agree with the other three – the owl photograph is simply outstanding. If you ever decide to put that image on canvas and offer it to the public; count me in!

They are great photos, i like all three, but snowy owls are my favorite owl, so the beach gets my pick of the favorite, I mean the owl, lets just leave it that I like all three.
