Short-eared Owl Hunting
On my second visit to the Pole Farm in Lawrence, New Jersey, I was fortunate that the Short-eared Owls made an early appearance, coming out around 2:30PM, allowing for a couple hours of shooting in good light. While I didn’t have any close encounters with the owls like I did on Sunday, I was able to get quite a few photographs of the owls in their habitat. Before the winter ends, I hope I can get some closer photos of the owls, but for now, I’m pretty happy with the environmental photographs I am getting, such as this one of an owl hunting along the edge of the tree line over the fields.
